Arbitrage

Asian Handicap
A handicap market that eliminates the draw. Gives one team a goal advantage or disadvantage. Popular in Asia, offers better odds than traditional 1X2.
Bankroll
The total amount of money you have set aside for betting. Proper bankroll management is crucial for long-term success.
Betting Exchange
A platform where you bet against other punters rather than a bookmaker. Betfair is the biggest example. Allows you to "lay" (bet against) outcomes.

B - F: Bet Types

BTTS (Both Teams to Score)
A simple bet on whether both teams will score in a match. Yes or No options. Very popular for accumulators.
Double Chance
A 1X2 bet where you cover two of three possible outcomes. Options: 1X (home win or draw), X2 (draw or away win), 12 (home or away win, no draw).
Draw No Bet
If the match ends in a draw, your stake is refunded. You only lose if your selected team loses.
Each-Way
Two bets in one: one for the selection to win, one for it to place (usually top 3-5). Standard on horse racing but used in football for outright bets.
Even Money (Evens)
Odds of 2.00 (or 1/1 in fractional). You double your money if the bet wins.
Fold
The number of selections in an accumulator. A "5-fold" accumulator has 5 selections.

F - O: Markets & Odds

Fractional Odds
Traditional UK odds format. 3/1 means you win £3 for every £1 staked (plus your stake back). Also called "British odds."
Decimal Odds
European odds format. Shows total return per £1 staked. 4.00 means £4 returned for £1 (including stake). Most common format globally.
American Odds
Uses plus/minus numbers. +200 means £100 wins £200 profit. -200 means you need to stake £200 to win £100 profit.
Expected Goals (xG)
A metric measuring the quality of chances created. Higher xG = better scoring chances. More predictive than actual goals.
Fold
Number of selections in a bet. A 4-fold accumulator has 4 selections.
Handicap
Giving one team a goal advantage/disadvantage to equalise the match. -1 means team must win by 2+ goals.

Odds On
